The Olivet Discourse - The Review

Like with the end of our discussion of the daniel 70 Week prophecy, here is a brief review of the key points to remember.

• The discourse is in response to the Disciple’s questions, which were inspired by Jesus’ attack on the Pharisees

• The questions were about the coming judgment not the end of the world

• The prophecy was limited to the temple that was there at the time

• The prophecy was limited to the Judean area

• The timing passage demands that the events must take place within a generation of the prophecy

• The events can be interpreted to have happened within the first century

• Using both internal and external evidence
